Equifax Secure was an original SSL Certificate provider that was subsquently aquired by GeoTrust in 2001.  In September of 2006 GeoTrust was acquired by VeriSign.  The original  Equifax Secure certificate roots are still owned and operated by Geotrust.  SSLTree.com is able to offer these certificates as a GeoTrust authorized partner.
